The Copper Chronicles is a quirky, and fun, blog about our puppy, Copper, and his daily escapades. For animal and dog lovers, single parent families and pets, and boys and their dogs. Sometimes in my voice, sometimes in his. "Copper" plans on recommending books, movies and other items that are dog - but NOT cat - related.

I Was (AM) A Cute Puppy!
Look at that face! Who could resist me? And I can't believe I actually fit under that chair! Now I take up the whole couch when no one is home, but I love to share with my boy and climb up on his lap. Good thing he has a big lap!
I was born in February at an Amish home in Lancaster County, PA. My owner took good care of me and all my brothers. We had a nice barn with our mommy, with fresh straw to play in. I don't remember too much since I was just a little pup, but then one day a nice lady came to see us and she thought we were all too cute. Which, of course, we were! A few days later she came back with a handsome man and the next thing I knew I was headed "home".
The first day I cried. A lot. I had never been in a real house and I missed my brothers and my mom, but my new Momma and Daddy hugged me and snuggled with me and it didn't take long before I knew this was where I was destined to be. And the really cool part is that there was a second Momma! I had hit the jackpot!
And talk about a jackpot! I have toys, food, toys, and a pool! Although, the first time I was in the pool I didn't like it AT ALL. Now, that I am bigger, I love it! When ever anyone puts on a swimsuit I know we're gonna have some fun. I am a Labrador, after all.
Well, my boy is up so it must be time to play... gotta run...
